Sevier County celebrated the Fourth of July in grand fashion beginning the day with the 37th annual Gatlinburg Midnight Parade. The parade started at 12:01 a.m. aand continued to 2 a.m. More than 100 floats representing all four branches of the military and numerous business, organizations and attractions made their way down the parkway.

  Numerous attractions such as the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show, Dixie Stampede, the Grand Majestic and many others presented floats. The Sons of the American Revolution was represented with a float depicting soldiers in period clothing in a camp setting. The Tuskegee Airmen were honored as guests of honor.

 Later in the day spectators converged at Patriot Park for a concert featuring the Lovin' Spoonful and country music star John Anderson.

 The Lovin' Spoonful  perfomed the songs that made them famous in the 1960s such as "Do You believe in Magic?", "Summer in the City."

  Anderson performed the many hits that made him famous such as "Swingin'" "Straight Tequila Night" and"Seminole Wind."

  Following Anderson, the night sky came to life with a dazzling foreworks display.
