Brush Fire Reported by Chestnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department

The Chestnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department has requested the help of a tanker and manpower from The Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department for a brush fire located at 2728 McGaha Hollow Road off of Newport Highway. A little windy to be burning brush today.
UPDATE: 4:37 p.m. Chestnut Hill VFD has requested an additional tanker and more manpower to continue to fight the brush fire.

The fire was actually at 2758 McGaha Hollow Rd. It was a brush fire because the brush on the bottom of the forest floor burned, not hurting the trees. No one was burning brush. It started in the ditch line, apparently from a cigarette thrown out. I owned this property for 13 years and it is now owned by my ex-daugher-in-law.
