Plagued by turnovers, fumbles and interceptions, the Seymour Eagles were defeated by the Sevier County Smoky Bears Friday in Sevierville.

Seymour got on the scoreboard with a field goal, but their efforts was answered by a 52-yard TD pass from Sevier County's Cullen Lavoi to Logan McCarter.

The Bears' momentum shifted into high gear following a fumble by Seymour on their third play. The Bears scored again when Luke Trentham, Lavoi and Bubba Floyd completed a drive that moved the ball near the goal line. Colby Bailey then plunged into the end zone to score.

In the second quarter the Bears needed just five plays to move the ball 95 yards ending with a 75-yard bomb from Lavoi to Brett Pippin. In the waning moments of the half, the Eagles fumbled again and Sevier County defensive back Dillon Cate ran in  for a 25-yard TD making the score 34-3 at the half.

Sevier County's Jeff Henry scored a two-yard TD pass in the third making the score 40-3. Sophomore Luke Manning ran in a 35-yard TD with 8:37 left in the game to make the score 48-3.
