Elkin Now In Semi-Finals on America's Got Talent
Drake Elkin (Back Right) is now in the semi-finals competition of America's Got Talent and stands to win part of a $1 Million prize.
Drake Elkin, a McCoy clogger in the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., has made it to the semi-final round on “America’s Got Talent” and now stands at the brink of winning part of a $1 million dollar prize.
The show airs at 8 p.m. on Tonight and 9 p.m. on Wednesday on NBC. Elkin is not allowed to say when he will be on the show.
He is a member of the Season 7 all male clogging group, “All That,” and he is requesting support from the community to vote for him in the two hours immediately after the show. The 8-member group will split a $1 million dollar prize and get a show in Las Vegas if they win. To vote people can call: 1-866-602-4802. People can vote 10 times per phone number or computer.
Out of more than 75,000 acts that auditioned, “All That” is still standing in the final 24 acts. Other members of the group are: Mike Curtis, Brad Berry, Delohn Collins, Brian Staggs, Joel Harrison, Mark Clifford and Harrison Barnes. “None of us can shake this amazing feeling we have, knowing that the people who love us pulled us through,” Elkin said. “It is hard to believe this is real right now!”
“All That” was one of four winners of the Wild Card Round last week with a tie-breaking vote from Judge Sharon Osbourne. She liked the group and kept them in the competition. She told the group she was proud of them and that they deserved to go on to the next round. “It was an intense and brutal competition,” Elkin said. “It was a very tough week because there were so many great acts,” he said. “Thank you to everyone who voted! I really appreciate your continued support. This is the most amazing experience of my life! I am thankful for the support I have received from the community every step of the way.”
Osbourne said to the group, “You are incredibly manly. You are fabulous, just fabulous.”
Judge Howie Mandel said, “What you do is amazing. I wish you the best of luck. If you like them, vote for them.”
Judge Howard Stern said, “I love your act. I can’t believe how entertained I am by this. You certainly have talent and you are really fascinating to watch. I love you, but this is going to be tough. People don’t realize the pressure of a live competition.”
“We are still standing in the final 24, on the biggest stage in the world and we owe it to the American people and to Judge Sharon Osbourne,” Elkin said. “And when I finish at ‘America’s Got Talent’ I get to dance for a living at the Hatfeld and McCoy Dinner Show. ‘America’s Got Talent’ and my job at the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show are both dreams come true!” Elkin said. “I love the audience on ‘America’s Got Talent’ and I love the crowd at The Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show. I also love the fast pace and the high energy of the Hatfield and McCoy Show. I give a lot of credit to my mother. There were a lot of moments when I wanted to quit clogging, but my Mom would not let me.”
