   The Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge is now open for business and plans are being made for a grand reopening in the fall. Located on the Parkway where the Dinosaur Museum once stood, the Hollywood Wax Museum is the newest attraction in Pigeon Forge.

  Visitors to the area driving down the Parkway are immediately mesmerized by a giant ape that appears to be climbing the outside of the building with a bi-plane in his massive hand. The ape measures more than 50 feet in height and weighs an astounding 80,000 pounds.

   But the great ape is just one of more than 70 exhibits inside the building. While the Hollywood Wax Museum Ape is impressive, he is only part of the lavish and imaginative décor that makes the façade of the museum stand out among all the other attractions.

 The front of the building resembles a Hollywood version of Mount Rushmore. But, instead of iconic presidents gracing the façade, four Hollywood giants are immortalized on the face of the sculpture. Fans are quick to recognize the likeness of John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin.

  The 22,000 square foot museum allows fans to rub elbows with their favorite Hollywood stars of movie and TV. The museum features current stars like Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman and Brad Pitt standing side by side with classic entertainers like Presley, Monroe, Clint Eastwood and Sevier County’s own, Dolly Parton.

  Visitors can pose with their favorite stars. Have a photo taken posing as George Clooney’s bride or stand on the bow of the Titanic with Leonardo DeCaprio while proclaiming “I’m the king of the world.”

  The Pigeon Forge Museum is the third of its kind. The first was built in Hollywood in 1922 and the second museum was created in Branson in 1996.  

  As tantalizing as the museum is, it is only one of three incredible attractions located on the property. Two other attractions offer visitors a plethora of activities, fun and excitement.

  The first is Castle of Chaos, the world's first 5-D adventure, and Hannah's Maze of Mirrors, where you find your way through hundreds of mirrored archways in a gallant quest to save Princess Hannah of Savannah.

    The story if Hannah is one of a narcissistic princess who spends much of her time looking at herself in the mirror. Her parents decide to try to cure her of her self-centeredness and send her to see a witch who is expected to cast a spell and free her from her desire to gaze at herself constantly. Unfortunately, Hannah offends the witch who curses her to spend eternity in Hannah’s Maze of MIrrors. Many will enter but few will succeed at freeing the princess from the maze. The maze is a sensational mirror maze that creates optical illusions such as the “forever bridge” which appears to be a bridge over a pit that never ends. The mirrors appear to change in appearance due to a subtle change of lighting that is sometimes difficult to notice. The maze is extremely challenging.

  The final attraction is Castle of Chaos. The ride is a 5-D attraction that takes the visitor into a darkened chamber where he sits in a car with other guests and shoot at rats, bats insects and other creatures sent from the darkest corners of a dungeon to terrorize the visitors that dare attempt to rescue Hannah. The ride features a 3-D movie with fourth dimension special effects. Scoring and the reactions of the attacking creatures are done in real time giving the ride an incredible 5^th dimension.

   The Hollywood Wax Museum, Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors and the Castle of Chaos are must-see attractions every visitor to Pigeon Forge should consider.
