Lady Lions Finish With Winning Season
By Bill Na,TKA Student Correspondant
The King's Academy Lady's Volleyball team had a great season recording 8-6. Coach Koss said, “This year's team had showed great intensity and aggressiveness in the matches." They have performed really well reflecting their hard work during their practices.
Coach Koss said, “This was the best senior class I have ever had. All four seniors, Aubin Fowler, Madison McDaniel, Rebecca Gioioso, and Brittany Johnson were great leaders on and off the court." During the practices they have helped the younger players and encouraged them. They have showed such a great leadership to the team which lead to a successful season.
Rebecca Gioioso goes up for a spike
One of the highlights of the season was during the Carter high school tournament. The ladies played nine public and private schools. However, they didn’t have a long day. They came out with outstanding results of 8-1.
The next highlight of the season was the retreat. The girls had stayed in a cabin in the Smokies. They have built up fellowship and also had a great time. This retreat had really have their teamwork much better and was a great chance to the freshman girls to get along with the rest of the team.
The last season highlight was the victory over Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in the same night. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were tough teams to beat. The ladies had shown great performances that night to bring them victory.
Overall, The King’s Academy’s Volleyball team had a successful season. They maintained a good fellowship with each other and also shown great performance. As a Christian school, they have shown a great model towards others.
