The Sevierville Police Department  is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a man and woman  who are suspected of stealing almost $1,500 in military medals and awards.

According to SPD Detective Ray Brown, the male and female suspects allegedly stole the items from Olden Days Antiques and Collectibles, located at 1846 Winfield Dunn Parkway, sometime between the dates of July 5-9.  Surveillance cameras videotaped the suspects as they browsed through the store.

More than 75 various military medals and awards were reportedly stolen, including a Purple Heart medal, Bronze Star medal, Good Conduct medal, and several American Legion medals. Other items that were reportedly taken included a World War II German bayonet and a World War II holster.

The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information regarding these two suspects is requested to contact Ray Brown at 865-453-5507.
