Lloyd Daugherty, Chairman of the Tennessee Conservative Union has announced his endorsement of Roger Griffith, candidate for the House District 17 seat which is comprised of Jefferson and Seviercounties.

Whenever we consider candidates for endorsement, we first ask, “Are they philosophically consistent with the beliefs of the Tennessee Conservative Union; and second, do they have the character and courage to stand up for what they believe?” Mr. Daugherty stated. “We know Roger is a true, authentic conservative and I am confidant Roger will stand up for conservative principles when he goes to Nashville,” Daugherty added.

"We are pleased to accept this endorsement from this conservative organization and we share their commitment to fight any and all efforts of an income tax, which they have been doing for thirty years,” Griffith stated.

Griffeth has also been endorsed by the Tennessee Right to Life organization, Tennessee’s largest Pro-Life group.

Roger Griffith is a current county commissioner in Jefferson County and is the owner of a small business, Griffith Engineering. He is a graduate of Tennessee Tech where he earned his degree inmechanical engineering. He and his wife, Missy, make their home in New Market with their children.
