Trace Adkins To Perform in Knoxville

Trace Adkins is coming to the Tennessee Theater
Country music award winning artist Trace Adkins will perform at the historic Tennessee Theater August 11 at 8 p.m.
Known for his distinctive deep bass voice Adkins emerged on the country music charts 15 years ago with his debut album “Dreamin’ Out Loud” which quickly went to platinum with sales in excess of one million copies. In the years following his debut, Adkins has released 10 studio albums, three greatest hits packages, and thirty chart singles. He has also racked up four Grammy nominations and five ACM and CMT awards.
Such accomplishments illustrate the respect Adkins has earned from Country fans and the industry alike. His most recent release, Proud to Be Here is the perfect distillation of Trace's art, displaying once again his ability to pour emotional truth into his music, whether it is of the tender or the rowdy variety. The album is the latest in a career that continues to soar.
Adkins is best known for such hits as "Just Fishin'", "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing", "Then They Do", "Hot Mama", "Songs about Me", "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk", "Ladies Love Country Boys" and "You're Gonna Miss This."
Adkins has made numerous television and movie appearances including as a panelist on the game shows “Hollywood Squares” and “Pyramid”, as a finalist on “The Celebrity Apprentice”, as the voice for recurring character Elvin on “King of the Hill”, and in television commercial voice-overs for the KFC fast food restaurant chain. In addition, Adkins has written an autobiography entitled “A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Free-Thinking Roughneck”, which was released in late 2007. He has appeared in numerous films, including The Lincoln Lawyer.
The Tennessee Theater is located at 604 South Gay Street in Knoxville. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at 865-656-4444 or toll free by calling 877-995-9961.
